He was however followed while doing double the speed limit.

It is worth noting that was excessive speeding, lucky he didn't hit someone. Good police work catching the person with no regard for public safety. I personally aren't bothered by the odd bit of speeding when passing or even doing 10km/h over the speedlimit but excessive speeders are a menace.

Quite clearly says he was followed and then observed doing twice the speed limit. Radar would have picked him up as he sped away.

He got off far too lightly and should be made to endure a one hour lecture on motorcycling by cassina.

    Classic.

The same bike regularly goes past the same speed camera at high speed at roughly the same time of day. Even the Red Hand Gang could have worked out how to catch that particular evil doer. If that warrants a full page story then the level of detective work in NZ must be pretty shithouse. Hey, at least they got a result. Oh, hang on.......

17 times before some action is taken is a bit lame as well if you want to be seen to be serious about road safety. If you believe all the hype then they should have been after him after three flashes. You could well imagine with your tin foil hat on that the main reason this story is there is to provide additional support from TPTB to the AA story the other week about bikes needing forward facing number plates.

and who decides what's excessive? you? or a politician 30 years ago? go fuck yourself.
this guy had full regard for every cunt's safety. probably, his own foremost. why the fuck would you wrap youself in moo-skin and then hit shit at pace? let alone hit enough shit, at enough pace, to endanger public.
that would just be fucken silly.

I used to live in middle of Wainuiomata and work in Gracefield quickest I did it from home to work was 6 mins - that was when it was one lane each way 1/2 way down the Lower Hutt side. Traveling at before 6am a great race track but I could feel the pressure of riders trying to keep up!!!
