What is the realistic minimum number of motorbikes you need?

    I reckon its five:

    • Road bike
    • Trackday bike
    • Adv bike or offroader
    • Cruiser
    • Project/classic something to play with in the shed
I thought elections were decided by angry posts on social media. - F5 Dave

Given I've only funded one at a time, I guess I only 'need' one.

How many do I want - now that is a totally different question

Darn, now I want a project bike.

    You're not even trying...
Road bikes - a tourer and something to pop down to the shops on..maybe something for Vintage runs too...
trackday bike - hell no. Classic and post classic racebikes - and possibly a bucket too.
Adv bike or offroader - come on, a twinshock trials bike plus a modern trialler plus possibly a VMX...
    Cruiser - shit no....
Project - keeping the above running will do thanks....

I decided a while back that I'm going to try & abstain from selling motorcycles for the rest of my days. I'm still well open to the idea of buying motorcycles. I need an adventure bike and a Harley Davidson in the short-term, along with a small boat.

I'd quite like a late 20's cammy Norton, but I can't keep up with what I have...

More than one, because it's nice having variety, but I have no desire to have a track anything, and a cruiser even less so. Projects and classics... nope.

CB919 for commuting and around town, it's excellent and incredibly reliable. Love my GSA for country, events, adv riding and it's brilliant. So much so I might even have to get a second as the first is getting needy on parts and likes visiting the mech

Or N+1, where N is the number for which you have money to acquire and space to store.

    R1200RT Tourer/Road Bike
    R1 Sports Bike
Ducati Multistrada for the more adventurous tours/gravel roads etc
Commuter Bike (Maybe KTM390 Duke or similar, depends on how far you are commuting)
    KTM300EXC Trail/Dirt Bike
Some sort of track bike early 90s 400 RR or similar or a bucket racer. This doubles as the project bike

That's not a question that I am allowed to answer - my financial controller tells me the answer is one and only one , I have to sell current bike before replacing it

I think you have reached motorcycling nirvana ( the state not the band) when you are happy with a sweet phat magna.

I'd be good with 1,3 and 5 from that list, so 3 would do it. Currently at 2.....
