    Question Yamaha XJ 400 Diversion

My Son has bought a Yamaha 400 Diversion as a cheap 1st bike. Its got pitted forks, and needs mufflers.
Are the 650's the same bike with a smaller engine ala Ducati 400/600/750 or are the parts different?

    Its a 94

Resin in the pits and sand back may keep it going?

There was a 600 diversion that I believe is more or less the same as the 400, so parts should be interchangeable

The 650 if it still existed in 94 is a different creature.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987
