I did it now. As in, I plonked 10 on MM (Don't forget, I am a poor rural peasant). I will probably throw something on an outsider after the FP session.

The way I look at this is that, not being a betting type, I have $100 for the season. My goal is to have at least that at the end. $110 would be a 10% return which is more than any poxy bank would give.

Others may differ but I'm an investor type of a person too. I'll probably never "win big" but any return above 10% is good enough in my books.

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

I'm up 130% currently. Haven't risked much yet but planning some bigger bets soon.

Will we all be a bunch of misers late in the season? Cackling over our winnings and doing safe bets on the favourite for a podium?

No no no no no. No.

    No.

    NO!

Put $100 in your bottom drawer and get it out after the last race if that is your attitude. Your $10 profit over a season is a single decent beer, or a 12 pack of Speights, you are missing the whole point of gambling. The going from $2 left in the account to being up $800 due to some ginger wizard, and then the next round being down to $20 due to some Spanish twat. And then $5,000 in credit the week after due to a bit of rain and some mouthy Australian. Who then falls off on the last lap putting you back down to coinage only. Fuck man, it is all about the ride, not the ten bucks.

" or a 12 pack of Speights"... I would sooner burn the money. At least I would get some benefit in the way of heat.

I went all-in on an undisclosed rider. I'll either be rich or lose everything this weekend.

Just watched qualifying. My hopes of winning this challenge aren't looking flash.
