Yeah, small places also have common sense.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

Presumably you didn't do this via the Westgate AA? The one infamous for "pay your money, get your licence" (Asian and Indians a specialty) driver licencing approach.

No, it was a different AA in Auckland, close to the geographic centre of greater Auckland specifically. I visited a few AA's over the last few weeks for various reasons ($202 to register a bike in Sydney, $500 odd here...) - and all but one staff member I saw were either Asian or Indian. As were the significant proportion of the clientele. Kind of jarring, as this was my experience in the hospitals that I've spent a lot of time in recently.

God, I sound racist. Not the intention.

    Know what you mean...

I also chose years ago to move to Enzed....

    Not to fucking Calcutta.....

If that makes me a racist then so be it.
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....

Have heard of various classes disappearing, or appearing, with new versions of licence. Cannot prove it was or was not there before, because they take your licence when you go in, don't they... sigh.

When I went to sit my full class 1 at age 17, I was told I should never have received my restricted because a box was not checked on their system, ie the licence was not 'released' and so should never have been issued/sent, and I would have called them for not getting it within two weeks... yada yada. In any case, they had to uncheck the box in order to log me passing the full, so I got both the restricted and the full in the mail (separately) the following week. Just what I needed ?!

Now, I would take a copy of my licence in future before going for an upgrade, and check the new one when it arrived for any errors or omissions.
