Very heavy rain over North island of NZ lately. Waikato is (by our standards) one of the big rivers if NZ anyway.

I agree that paint remover can be painful.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

    Unfortunately...

    Dear, pete376403

    Unfortunately, KLR650A sold in 1987~1988,
KLR650B(Tengai) isn't date on Japanese wikipedia

Selling period was only two years.

I like KLR605A! What a cool bike is this!
But I only seen picture on web.

    Unfortunately KLR650 is minor bike

Reason is selling period is short?

    It is only my opinion,
in those days Japanese people could take bike license
had limit under 400CC on license school.
If some one tried to take license over 401cc, he or she should have practical
exam on police! It was very famous that taking over 401cc license was very
    difficult!

I tried over 401cc license on police in 10 years ago.
In this time, lecturer of license school had passed 6 times challenge
    for his occupation!

In this story, you will understand taking over 401cc license was difficult
    in Japan.

So selling period was short, and taking license was difficult that
    KLR650 was miner.
