PCtraders.co.nz have a good range of ex-lease gear. I have bought a number of laptops and desktops from them for work and they have been fairly priced, include a 3 month warranty (longer if required/paid for)
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

Hinge & power connector are the 2 main areas laptops fail. Pro-quality laptops don't have these problems

Oh... BTW if you can find a high spec model with a Win 10 problem, sometimes marked as 'unspecified problem' just needing a simple regedit to fix, those ones are unually a complete bargain

Partner just got hers. Aspire something. 600 odd down from a grand because they labelled it wrong and gave us some 32gb piece of shit by accident. Wee thing with touch screen and 6+? Hours of battery for light work.

I'll hunt for something second hand/ex lease, but I've decided to buy a diesel heater first...XD

In the nature of an update? I passed on the helpful comments to the mother of the high school kid, thanks. The mum replied that the girl had set her mind on Apple.
So I listed some of the prices and sent her the link to Apple NZ. Things have gone quiet, I think she's in shock.
