    38MM Ring Spanner

Long story and you wont care BUT I often have to swap out the tow ball on the car. Trailer uses the smaller one and the bike rack is way better with the bigger one AND needs a little flat plate under it to stop it moving about so you cant fit the trailer on anyway...

Uses a 38MM (or close to it) nut...

Repco/supercheap don't usually go up that big so any other recommendations???

    Cheers

How much do you want it?

You could always put a changeable towball on the car instead...

I think a solid towball would be safer than a Chinese changeable one.. Besides the weird base plate for the bike rack under the towball means I need to change it anyway...

I don't mind the $$ for the spanner..

    cheers

I've got a bit fuck off 38mm socket... Its one of those heavy impact driver types and that's a prob as its nearly impossible to use solo - I need 2 hands and a 3rd to stop the ball rotating... LOL

Petone: WR Twiggs, just inland from the car dealer's at the big dodgy cross intersection in the middle of Waione St. They do Saturday mornings.

There is a secondhand tool shop in Petone (railway station end of Jackson Street), go there if you want to see good gear but at eye-watering prices.

Down here another place worth looking at is the local pawn shop...Some of the imported labour have expensive drug habits and it does a good trade in tools....

But ours has a very good jewellery section.....

Cash Converters - lots of tools that don't really look like home handyman stuff but might have been found on a building site or engineering shop.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

Try D&S Sharpening Services on Kapiti Road for something closer to home. You might be surprised at the breadth of their product range.

    A dirt old Cresent.
I am picking you have never been a farmer
Failing that just try an engineeering shop they usually sell singles
Actually so does Mitre Ten. just checked only up to 32mm though
    Just find the koken van.
Have you looked on trademe they have plenty

It actually sounds to me you would be better off with a detachable tow hits
We always had them on rangers and toyotas so we could fit the AG couplings
