    Places to ride in canterbury

I'm looking for places to ride in Canterbury. I've been hitting the waimak tracks for the last few weeks but looking for somewhere new. Is there any other trails out there ? thanks in advance.

I used to ride a bit round the Ashley river, if you go to the end of swamp road there is a big clearing which you can ride around. There is a long 4wd track, if you head upstream you will get to a river that is a bit deep to get past, but it does make a nice loop. If you head downstream you can get to the ocean eventually, there are a few dead ends but it is kinda fun trying to find a path I reckon.

Park at the the big clearing next to the Rangiora airport and do a run up stream and back, there's some good tracks
