    Michael Wallace Caught!

Michael Wallace picked up by Police in Sanson this evening.

I must say, Well done NZ Police for their commitment on this case. I feel so sorry for the German Tourist and her family and friends.
It's nice to know that somehow and in someway, the government has allowed some detectives to carry on investigating this case, be it at the expense of lost traffic fine revenues.
So I guess its time to determine the verdict and then.........

What would you want to see done???

I'm sure he's just helping with their enquiries....
At the rise of the hand by Policeman, stop rapidly. Do not pass him by or otherwise disrespect him.

Although he was caught in a stolen vehicle, I'm sure he didn't know it was stolen.

This is one of those many occassions where the police have done a fabulous job in tracking and finding their suspect. Its now up to the court to decide guilt or innocence. Please, may I be on the Jury?

Give him 40 years if found guilty.

Better still, put him in a electric chair, save tax payers money.

I see this thread has popped up in many forums. I'm surprised people havnt formed a lynch mob or stoned the chap to death already.. I like the way people here imply guilt so quickly.

He deserves all that he gets double over.
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

Michael Scott Wallace has this afternoon been formally charged with murder of Birgit Bauer, the German hitchhiker. He will appear in the New Plymouth District Court tomorrow.

My heart goes got to her family back in Dresden, Germany. Birgit was buried yesterday. RIP.
Small and dangerous with a sting in my tail!!
