I'd point out the situation is still unchanged. National still has no friends and at this point is unlikely to get in next time around.
Must seem that way from a labour supporter's point of view. In fact surveys have shown most social media in NZ leans well left, it's no different here. The moderate right are probably all too busy with the sort of social media that arrives across the club bar.
And if there's been a fair bit of criticism of labour's performance here recently then it's not difficult to understand why, even for someone who supported their claimed goals. Deflecting perfectly valid criticism of their failure to meet their own standards with "but national" isn't rational, it's a pointless and transparent knee-jerk reaction from a spectacularly one eyed partisan.
