I'll just keep my old E55 AMG with no cats and my old Navara also with no cats and a big turbo on it thanks. I dont give a flying toss how much they charge me to run them.
By the end of next year these retards will be gone never to be seen again.
Vote New Conservative!
The Greens dont look that far ahead with any of their policies. Its all about the feels for them.
NZ is actually a good country to run electric vehicles in because we have alot of hydro power (once the battery technology develops properly which imo its not there yet). Thats fine for the large urban centres. The total disregard for the rural community in the proposed changes is absurd though. But then the proposed changes were pushed through by one of those dual citizen MP's I was talking about previously. The bitch should never of been an MP in the first place! And a bloody unelected LIST MP at that is the one behind all this total bullshit!!!
They are only loosing votes not gaining them with this type of policy. Only misinformed muppets think any of this is a good idea in the long run.
I was talking about rego costs I heard they proposed basically taxing anything not electric or deemed acceptable into oblivion or thats in the intent via road users or rego and sales of new vehicles aswell.
Again what you said is just another reason to keep my old vehicles if they are going to tax the vehicles im likely to buy (probably not a brand new AMG admittedly) but thats what I would buy it still adds to the cost even on a second hand vehicle that filters through the system down the years.
So now Labours downtrodden low income voters are going to have to put an electric car on tick to prevent from being otherwise assfucked by their chosen ones.
I say "otherwise assfucked" because putting a car or bike on tick is an assfucking in its self.
If Smarmy Bridges wasn't the totally inept retard that he is he could be totally slaying this government over some of their ridiculous policies....
Maybe he's using the old never correct your enemy when they are making a mistake adage.... But given his previous efforts im not convinced. Fact is and its sad to say Bridges could quite possibly be the worst equal prime minister in NZ's history by the end of 2020... I'll give him the benefit of the doubt of a tie with Cindy. They are both globalist stooges anyway.

The time most electric cars are charging is when people get home from work. That's peak power time, more demand than hydro can supply already, any extra supply is going to be oil or gas generated.
So they're arguably producing more greenhouse gasses than an IC vehicle.

Yep and its still the batteries their creation and their disposal which is the real elephant in the room imo.
All these politicians are kidding themselves if they think these "green" technologies are what they are cracked upto be when even the most basic research shows that its not.
Other than nuclear power NZ is basically the best case scenario for electric vehicles and it still doesnt stack up.
Now that all the good & honest people have paid for it, we will wipe the debt for those that aren't.

What kind of lesson is that to young people?
Don't pay & it will go away. What about the people that paid? Can they get a refund?
The correct course of action is that the papers for the people that didn't pay should have gone in the bin & they should have been made to do it over again if they wanted to, at twice the previous bargain price.
It took nearly a generation to get rid of the attitudes that nine years under Clarkes Labour did to the people that grew up under it.

it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

Oh absolutely, I'd be surprised if most chargers didn't have that facility, I'm just not sure if most people would use it.
And then, the more Ecars there are the more demand there is, and that overall % of hydro goes down and the coal/gas generation goes up.
I'll probably buy one eventually, when I can be convinced the batteries last, can be replaced for less than the cost of a new car and don't require disposal to a nuclear storage facility. Y'know: all of the things most environmental lobbyists completely ignore.
