TOP QUOTE: “The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.”
You and Bob and ocean must feel personally down about a policy not getting implemented, to solve a problem the last government never acknowledged existed by a party you never voted for anyway..............
Maybe if you were able to concentrate your energies and pool your resources on getting the opposition leader above 5% support in the polls.

It didn’t need a builder.
IIRC the target was 100,000 houses in ten years.
10,000 houses a year
Allowing them a while to get up to speed, some 1,000 houses a month.
I don’t think they even did that much calculation, more like think of a number and double it. Of course it’s possible they had been drinking and it all sounded pretty good at the time.
Simon is saying Labour should be working on the things Kiwis are worried about. Apparently he sees that as us joining with India in firing a rocket at the moon.
Where do we get these fucking idiots?

Dont go blaming your lack of intellect or cognitive abilities on me Jason.
You're moaning about a party you never voted for, in a country where you don't live, failing to complete a policy, you never wanted, or thought was needed in the first place. That doesn't even effect you in the first place.
if i thought you could understand them, i would call you a series of descriptive names. but whoosh is all you would hear

You mean...... credibility?

Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon
Of course you don't, and yet in response to perfectly valid criticisms about labour's broken election promises involving hundreds of millions of dollars and affecting hundreds of thousands you absolutely foam at the mouth at largely imaginary nashnil transgressions.
Like I said, rabid.

To add some balance to that argument (and I'm not taking sides, you kids will have to sort yourselves out) there's a whole thread where a bunch of kiwis are doing the same about trump.
To be fair, it seems Jason was born in NZ, which helps to explain his ongoing interest in the topic, unlike a lot of Trump thread posters, most of which have been too busy posting on the Internet to actually visit the USA in person.
You don't seem to quite understand where you live. New Zealanders have a huge reputation as travellers. Offhand I can't think of any of my friends who haven't travelled the world either when young, in later life, or both. Many of the people I worked with had done so too. Some of the earlier travellers eventually made their life in Canada or the US permanently.
The 'big OE' is still a thing despite British restrictions on immigration making it more difficult.
