In Australia but I think its still relevant to us...

I thought this was interesting just in the way the "handler" of these students came in to shoo them away when he thought they were answering questions that might make the CCP look bad...

A couple of things astounded me about this. @ 8:28 We have an obvious CCP handler in Australia telling chinese students studying in Australia what to say and do!? Which obviously also shows how well organised their counter protests are.

And then just the general attitude and complete lack of any facts of Chinese students that are being educated in Australia..

And people think this stuff doesnt happen here in NZ?

Then we have the lunatics aligned with them, with Lunatic Fringe party wanting to ban cars and NZ first roaming around like a demented Robin Hood distributing money to the pet projects and vote-buying nonsense in the regions.

    No wonder business confidence slumped.

Very interesting. For comparisons sake I had a look at how some other countries performed in the same period. Weirdly their graphs reflected ours. National sure had an impact huh. Or was there something else happening at the time.

Wow thats a very convenient way to look at the fact that what he stated was 100% totally factually incorrect.
As its readily apparent to anyone without a brain the size of a golfball that thr NZ labour party has not had massive borrowing as was written in his post.
So go on then answer was what he wrote about the NZ labour true or not given the real stats i posted. its a simple yes or no answer.
Just to jog your memory here is his post.

    .
So was the post factually correct or doe the stats paint a picture of the reverse being true.

Went to Auckland via matamata the other day.
Spent the whole time dodging holes in the absolutely fucked road that hasn't had a cent spent on it under Labour.

Cool story bro, I can link you to a story where two of every animal on earth fitted into a home made boat.
I'm referring to the minor day to day upkeep & maintenance of pot holes etc, of which there has been none for a couple of years, not some major roading contract.

That is the day to day repairs of the state highways in the area.
The NZ Transport Agency has awarded the contract for the management and maintenance of state highways in east Waikato to the national contractor Higgins.
“We are committed to being responsive to issues on the roads so there will be purpose-built cyclic vehicles out on our roads, identifying and where practicable resolving issues. There will also be a dedicated heavy maintenance crew that will undertake more permanent repairs,” Ms Boyt says.
If any road user sees a problem on our roads, they can call 0800 4 HIGHWAYS (0800 44 44 49) to alert the call centre team who will bring this to the attention of the Contractor network If you are referring to the council maintained roading network,
but its pretty simply spelled out in the contract manual .https://www.nzta.govt.nz/assets/reso...s/sm032-a7.pdf
For Rural Areas, where local roads intersect the Limit of Works, the Contractor must maintain, including resurfacing, all items associated with intersection control at the local road for a distance of 10m from the position of the limit lines on sealed roads,
or to the end of a physical splitter island if one is installed, whichever is greater. For Urban Areas, the boundaries are the same as for Rural Areas, except the Contractor need only maintain the road assets and associated structures between andincluding the kerb lines or channels.
All roadways, cycle lanes, bridges, other structures, drainage structures (culverts, water channels, etc.), guardrails, noise barriers, landscaping and other facilities thatare owned and managed by the Principal and occupy the road reserve.
The Contractor’s top priority is to maintain a safe, reliable and resilient Network for the Principal's customers, while taking responsibility for its employees’ health and safety andthe safety of the Principal's customers.
For rural private entranceways the maintenance limit is the theoretical edge of seal across the entranceway.
The Contractor shall maintain the existing seal widths and sealed areas within theNetwork excluding areas within 5m from any rail unless a Memorandum ofUnderstanding has been agreed with KiwiRail
i would suggest you do a little more research before you blame the current government. As guess who changed the formula so council roads received buggar all funding for maintenance from the road user charges fuel and registrations, i will give you a hint.
it happened between 2009 and 2012
