Higgins was awarded the East Waikato The contract covers 530 kilometres of highways in the Hauraki Plains – Coromandel Peninsula region.

I'm referring to the minor day to day upkeep & maintenance of pot holes etc, of which there has been none for a couple of years, not some major roading contract.

We should blame national, the party that hasn't been in power for two years, for road maintenance that isn't being performed now, you have the proof, and you used it to great affect & made me look quite foolish.

i would suggest you do a little more research before you blame the current government. As guess who changed the formula so council roads received buggar all funding for maintenance from the road user charges fuel and registrations, i will give you a hint.

The contract and the conditions were set by the previous government. Your beloved National. thus until the contract is finished in about 5 years the budget and conditions are written in a contract.
I can imagine the rants from the right if the current government sought to break the signed contract, seeing as they are contracts.
But seeing as you rather illogically want to pretend the contract and conditions and budget were not set by the previous government we appear to have met an impasse.
