In her defence she was a school teacher until recently, before she decided on a carrier in politics, so it's not like she's hugely talented in that field, much like the rest of the Labour Party.
If you dig into their pasts you would be horrified at the lack of anything they have been doing prior, related to the job in hand.

Ask her where all the current fuel taxes go. Almost all of the many tax increases to fuel were originally ring fenced for transport/roading improvements. Almost all of them are now consigned to the general consolidated fund, available for buying votes.

That tactic is responsible for most new taxes and increases, across most cost centers: new tax justified to fund that sector's particular infrastructure spending requirements, and then quietly diverted to spend on election promises. Which means another tax, to fund that sector's particular infrastructure spending requirements. This time they haven't even rinsed it, it's almost word for word from the last fuel tax increase.

And if there's been a fair bit of criticism of labour's performance here recently then it's not difficult to understand why, even for someone who supported their claimed goals. Deflecting perfectly valid criticism of their failure to meet their own standards with "but national" isn't rational, it's a pointless and transparent knee-jerk reaction from a spectacularly one eyed partisan.

Having a solid, stated, achievable goal* would be one thing, but "end homelessness" "child poverty", etc, etc is non achieveable due to lifestyle choices.

* The stated goals here, are complete pish. Coming up with a number needs to be backed up with quantities of tradespeople and logistics to begin with, then you have the utter ineptitude of local councils fucking up the entire system of approvals.
