    Rides

Hi all, got my learners and am confident on my motorcycle. Wanting to find groups around Christchurch either weekend or week nights to ride with...still figuring this website out...cheers.

I'm finally getting my leg over again after a decade long absence, so would be keen on joining some ChCh rides too. I know Trevor Pierce Yamaha (who I'm getting my R3 from) organise some rides occasionally.

Keep an eye out on Christchurch motorcycle dealerships Facebook pages like First European, Avon City Suzuki, and Trevor Pierce Yamaha. They have regular shop rides. More frequent during summer

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

On a related note there's a Christchurch riders event happening on 1st of October. It's not a "ride" but still be fun with lots of like minded riders, listen to stories etc. I'm sure there'll be sausage sizzles going on too.

I should be there. Hope to see you then!

To the OP, the above are the best comments in this thread.

The other responses are like brussel sprouts on your dinner plate (apologies to those who like brussel sprouts), you push them the side of the plate and ignore them... they do make quite good compost!

I'm hoping the OP is still looking at this, though he may well have wandered off, shaking his head and wondering if riding a bike is such a great thing...

If you are still here, have a look at this book put out by the Norwegian Motorcycle Union: Full Control

It is downloadable from their site, click on the title above.

Also, on you tube they have videos which fit with each chapter, although they are in Norwegian if you have read the chapter then what they are demonstrating will make sense:

As well, there are a number of other videos on you tube which are worth watching, such as Roadcraft Nottingham.
