Christchurch cops block off Manchester st.

Dunno what's going on. But went and dropped off the better half this morning and the police are out in force. They've blocked off Manchester St between Hereford St and Litchfield Ave. Even one car blocking Cashel Mall at Colombo st.

    Anyone know what's happening?

    Bomb threat aparently
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

To be read as '....new GSXR'. You just don't want to change your name eh?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Pity it'll just be some kids crude device they made with one of the numerous online recipes.

Ah well bit of excitement I suppose.

Not scared, just to intelligent to consider it, it's not as though the sidecar will be fast enough to be scary it's only having a R1 motor in it

Turns out there was a bad taste party last night.

Going round bars, some guy dressed as a suicide bomber couldn't get into any of the bars because of his "explosives" belt. So he threw it away, into a rubbish bin. Which someone obviously mistook for the real thing, and the rest is history.

Looks like the poor bastard (side note, they - the cops - found all this out because he voluntarily came forward when he drew the connection) could be not only charged but sued by all the retailers.

Doesn't anyone else think everyone is getting just a little too serious about this shit. There's no more terrorism/guerrilla warfare going on now than at any other time. All I see happening is peoples freedoms being removed in so called free and democratic nations under the guise of protecting them from the "bogey man".

Ah well something had to replace the dirty dangerous communist threat.
