Well I travel at 100. Much slower thru corners.
Occasionally slow down to look at scenery.
Prefer to stop and stretch getting old.
I will be taking extra fuel as I get lost occasionally.
Not being a regular mbike traveller.
As long as we are responsible then we don't need to worry about the fuzz. There's quite a few probably doing the run anyway.
Take wet weather gear.
Got to sort out GPS yet.
I will be starting at 6.30
Staying in Hamilton Fri and sat.
READ AND UDESTAND
In theory I could do it on one fuel stop with judicious use of the throttle but will most likely do three to get the best prices.
Weather, They can't make their minds. First it was going to rain most of time, yesterday it was fine in Napier and overcast the rest of the way. Today it says heavy rain Hamilton and above (includes Rotorua) and overcast/showers the lower part. Have to say I am a bit sick of the rain after 15 hours of it during the NI1600 which got the better of me.
sounds like we could be good travel buddies.
I've got a red BMW F650 with all sorts of gadgets bolted on.
I have a spare GPS you can borrow. It will need cable ties, mini USB cable and a USB battery pack if you want it to run all day.
I'm written up travel notes so won't be relying on GPS
