Textile waterproofs
I have been through a couple of sets. My first DriRider jacket leaked from day 1. Swapped it for a better version. That DriRider jacket lasted maybe 5 years = good. The trousers leaked from Day 1 too - got them replaced and they lasted a couple of years. Tried some others ... leak leak leak. But I do like them as they are warm and have padded protection.
It's difficult to get overtrousers on the top of them without it being too tight so today ... I wore them UNDERNEATH the old Misano trousers I have. Kinda like new liners I guess. Anyway - comfy - worked fine - dry. Shall continue to wear them like that until it gets drier and warmer.
Incidentally, the best overtrousers are the cheapest roadworking / horrible looking whatevers. Those from bike shops don't seem to last too long. Go to a builder's or gardening shop or somewhere. Cheaper is better for some reason.
