    Hope that you don't mind a 'Wing tagging along? Scorpygirl and I would be a starter for this. The big tree is worth a look. Lots to see around that part of Northland.

    Were planning on heading up that way on the Sunday - with another rider - hiring a bike on Saturday - - - will see what I can arrange - so make that a possible 2 more!

    Recommend you go to Darg via the Oakleigh/Paparoa-Maungakaramea-SH1-Otaika Valley-SH14 (in blue on map with green short cut for those who want to catch up) for more fun and less Rather than SH12 (see attached map)
