If I couldn't do most of my own servicing, I doubt I could run a car. And that's on the pension which is a bit more than the benefit...

And then there's the gouging bloody WOF specialists whose job appears to be to generate work for their own workshops....

Stardust will sort all that out, Labour voters who expect other people to sort out their problems ( sweeping generalisation but hey I'm channeling the soon to be unemployed TV presenter Mike Hoskings)
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

And going by the rep received since posting earlier it seems that the overwhelming consensus is that Mike GAYner is a douche.

I see we're on the list to get highspeed broadband out here - a simple cellphone signal would be nice and should be a higher priority....

Can't you get "high speed wireless" broad band and land line where you are? - or have you been down that road already?

cellphone signal depends on which way the wind is blowing here, literally! And when EA networks plumbed the power under ground here they put in fibre cable at the same time to each house and now all the internet providers deny that it's there

That's partly correct. It's high speed compared to the postal service.

Yes but it was the Purina Sheep Dog Trials on Duke not the Cop show in question.

True! - When I think it's slow it sure must be but it got me computer/phone access without any need for digging or wiring at a difficult time so OK by me.

    It's not cheap though.

When we moved here my partner stopped playing internet games. She downloads movies to her iPad as streaming is no good here even on a good day. My company pays for our rural broadband so I don't complain much, I can still give people shit on the internet so I'm happy.

We're in a dead spot for cellphone and internet signal. Satellite is an option - but on the pension ?

When the local school had fibre optic laid to it as part of the "get schools on line" thing, cable was laid past our gate.
The foreman of the gang laying it was the mad pom (see sidecar record attempt...)
Despite my best efforts at coercion and bribery, I couldn't get a buckshee connection done....
