    1981 QT50 Bogging under load

Hi i purchased a yamahopper qt50 today test riding it it rode ok and after about an hour of riding i turned it off for a second started it again and it was bogging and sputtering under load. I could rev the balls out of it with wheel off ground but if i sat on it it would bog sputter and die. Not sure what to do cheers

Start by cleaning the air filter.

Akzle has the right idea though, a Busa solves your power problems...

    Something else to try.......

I'm assuming you have a fuel filter somewhere between the tank and carb. If crap in the tank got stirred up on your one hour run, it could be partially blocking fuel supply. Ditto for water in the supply line.

    Good luck!

    Spark plug.

At some stage you will need to clean the carb and burn out the 40 years of oil in the muffler.
Don't you look at my accountant.
