    Gsx1400 2004

A mate is having fueling issues. The bike is leaning out over 6,000rpm. It is being sorted by a well known and respected dyno tuner in Auckland. He is looking for fuel pump and possibly injectors but hard to come by locally and rather pricey to import.

He would also like to know if anyone would be willing to offer him a loan of their fuel tank for Brett to try out to test whether it's the pump. He realises it's a big ask, but as I said, it's with a top tuner.

One suggestion was buying a wrecked bike for parts if anybody knows of one.

Good Parts Motorcycle dismantlers have a 2001 model currently complete motor but there are a few bits missing including the fuel tank

    https://nzbikeparts.com/

Trades on TM as tin1212, that's the listing for the bike

Simon is a pretty OK bloke and only lists a percentage of his stock so could well have other 14 parts

When I linked the auction I saw there were questions on it and made the possible connection that they'd be related to this, but Simon could be open to selling the whole lot as one package?

It's Brett at BRM who is sorting it so you know it's in good hands.

If Simon hasn't got what's needed he can source some parts so could possibly locate what your mate is after

Problem solved. He got a replacement fuel pump and the bike now performs as it should. So thanks guys for your input.
