Perhaps you're a little early to report that about Charlie T. Wilbury, Jr.

''Officer Tony Im said the LAPD did not respond to any incident involving the rocker. CBS has since amended its story, and the trade Variety also retracted its obituary, which cited an unnamed source confirming Petty's death''

''The news outlets reported Monday afternoon that Petty was dead at age 66. CBS did not cite a source in its story, but tweeted that LAPD confirmed Petty's death. CBS and Variety now cite TMZ reporting that says Petty is "clinging to life."

Either way I do think we've heard the last original Tom Petty music. But, his songs are a pleasure to be re-enjoyed. When it comes, R.I.P. Tom. You are/were one of the Greats, especially but not only on 'Damn the Torpedoes' and when singing with Stevie Nicks.

Of the worst kind!! It must be really hurtful to his loved ones

Not the op but the wanker press.
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

R.I.P Tom Petty; One of the first tunes I learnt in my first band was "Breakdown". Loved Stan Lynch as a sit behind drummer (listen to "You don't know how it feels"), Tom was so lucky, and then to have Steve Ferone in a later line up, wow! ( Listen Average White band - "Cut the Cake".
Many of his tunes iv'e played and they were all fun, Last Dance Mary Jane, running down a dream, refugee. His band The Travelling Wilberries were awesome line up.

I like his cover of this...

"If you ever need anything please don’t hesitate to ask someone else first.”

Anyhoo don't forget to add to calendar 19th May, 27th July, and 31 August.
World whisky day, International whisky day, and Scotch whisky day.
