Classic 5th Gen VFR in great conditon

If I had a bigger garage and more funds this would be a keeper, but only one bike at a time unfortunately and I'm needing an adventure bike fix.

The 5th generation VFRs deserve the hype - I had an 04 VTec and I much prefer this one. Lighter, simpler engine and the sweetest engine note, but still with fuel injection and linked brakes.

This had done just over 73k when I got it two years ago and I've used it mostly for touring. Always been properly maintained by the looks and kept basically original except for:
    • Givi Wingrack and matching boxes all on the same key (edit - actually topbox is on a different key to the side bags)

    • Rider custom seat (MacDonald Motor Trimmers in Tauranga)

    • Brighter headlight bulb

Comes with the original rear seat cowl, grab handles etc. (edit: Plus workshop manual and record of all the work I've had done to it)
Has a fresh WOF (2/10/17) and Rego expires in November.
Just put a new Pilot Road 2 on the back this week for the WOF, and I have a matching front which will go with the bike (the front tyre looks like it might have a couple of thousand km left)

Recent work was a new battery about this time last year and recent service by MotorcycleLab in Whangarei including new tapered bearings in the steering head a few months back.

The engine runs like new even with 88k, and the bike itself is very tidy as per the pictures.

If someone wanted it without the racks and boxes I'd be willing keep them and negotiate a lower price.

PM me for more details or to view.

    Clive

Anyone want to come up with a sensible offer in the next day or two otherwise looks like I'm going to trade it on a CRF250L Rally.

Trademe listing https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/mot...1434476403.htm now - just popped it for a quick auction until Sunday night.

Bump - make me an offer on this ASAP or you will miss out and I'll trade it. For $4500 it can come with bags as per this photo plus the tankbag pictured and the topbox that came with it (which is an E45 Givi) - one in the photo us my old Givi Maxia which is not as tidy but fits more...

I'm trading it on a new CRF250L Rally - bit of a change in direction but I'm looking forward to getting back on a smaller dual purpose bike.
