    My first new bike

    Hi all,

Tomorrow I am going to be picking up my new bike, my first brand new bike.

Any and all advise on how I should be running the bike in is welcome.... well.. within reason, I understand what I am opening myself up to on this site.

I will of course speak with the dealer before I take it away but I feel it is always better to seek advise from multiple sources.

    Cheers all in advance,

    Tim

Congrats, you've got a great bike.

Stating the obvious but read the manual carefully and follow the manufactures instructions and take it easy.

If you haven't already done so, highly recommend the Ride Forever Courses. Great value.

    Enjoy your new bike

Ah the joy of a new bike, the smell, the freshness......enjoy

    Simple

Pick it up tomorrow, listen to what you're told at the shop, go home check it over thoroughly and read the owners hand book. Saturday morning fuel it up and go for ride for a couple of hours and then on Sunday scoot over to the street races at Greymouth and then on Tuesday drop it back to the shop for it's 1st service
Don't be tempted into wee short strops on it, get to know the bike properly with time in the saddle
