    First Bike

Looking to buy a first bike. Seen a Suzuki Intruder VL 250 but the chrome muffler is a bit bluish which seems to be from over heating. The sales guy says the choke was left open which caused the over heating - is this correct ?. Can the bluish marks be polished away. Any comments will be greatly appreciated. Don't want to end up buying a lemon. Thanks

Header pipes go blue. It's a thing.

All the bikes I've had have had the headers go blue, especially the stainless ones.

    I like the blue.

    Mmmmmm blue on stainless

It can be buffed out but may just blue again. Single skin chrome pipes (previous model Bonnie for example) will always blue.

Harley riders have gotten so gay that HD's all come out with real headers then a set of 'fake' covers around the system so they won't blue.

Can't notice the blue on mine, as it's too dirty. Is it from Colemans Suzuki? Good dealer and will look after you.

    That's been my experience.

But I don't want to be seen agreeing with you.

    Bad for ones rep.
