Don't ewes Harley guys do any maintenance?

I can hardly (see what I did there?) give these things away.

Surely this is good value for the home mechanic?

You are marketing them all wrong. Move a decimal place to $350, forge Willie G's signature on the packet and they will get snapped up.

So with three sets of five. .
But surely people will want a peek to see under there? Or fix crash damage. Or take it off to polish it or mount a Live to Ride. Drive to Work emblem?

that's what the dealerships are for, they can't even buy their clothes from a normal shop, it's an umbilical cord thing.

When you replace drive belt primary has to come off.
But I could re-use old gasket ....Pretty sturdy.
So there is no great need for anybody to stock up on them.
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....

Despite what japbike riders think parts for HDs are relatively cheap. I have used one primary gasket when I broke a belt, I dont thinkit was much more than this from a dealer.
Dealers have to carry a range of parts, its specified in the dealers contract. None of this "it has to come from japan in 6 weeks" crap. When you ride a HD there is no need keep a stock of parts at home, you are not dealing with Triumph NZ. (You know what I mean Dave).

I busted a headlight. Went to the dealer, there was a choice of 3 styles, it came with a bulb and wiring harness and cost less than $80 and was in stock.

Can't say I've ever had that, especially with Yamaha, if it's not on NZ it's 3-4 days ex Oz and nothing has ever taken me 6 weeks ex Japan to get since the 1980s

But there is all the extra costs. Matching jacket and chaps, tassels, piss pot helmet etc etc

Then you have to go around calling any other HD rider your brother......

Did you hear about the Harley rider that did his 5000 km service himself ... now it's not due for the next one for another 5 years ...
