    Hi all!

Hi there, great forum. I have found out heaps!

Just wondering, has anyone sat there Basic handling through mainland drive school in CHCH.

They emailed me with there info. Not sure if i needed to do a training course first. I had off road bikes as a kid, but haven't been on a bike in years!

I see they sit the BH on a scooter? I've never ridden one.

so what do you guys think? Should I do some training first, or will I be able to pass on a scooter?

    Thanks

Easy on the scooter, no gears and they will guide you through it. It is to access that you have balance & can safely negotiate a few cones, able to show some throttle control - contain speed. You should be sweet as if you had ridden off road before, it'll come back to you.
The Mainland instructor was really helpful when a friend (who had only ever had one go on my bike first) recently did the handling test, he took the time to teach the basic stuff needed to get around the cones and pass.
Doing a course for road skills and safe riding course is always a smart thing to do. May help save you from stupid accidents.
The restricted course is suppose to be good.
    Good luck and safe riding.

Welcome to K.B, Astolat. You're certainly not on your own. There seems to be a lot of K.B folk down your way.

    Welcome to the madhouse

Mainland is good, I did my CBTA through them.
Although I must say their paperwork required ... some new staff to get it all in order.
