    Question Anyone after a DRZ400SM?

Anyone looking to buy a 400SM? I've got my eye on another bike on TradeMe but would need to sell mine first.

    Ged it.

What other avenues are there when you have limited time to purchase something and don't have the finances on hand?

    What's the bike you're after?

    Regardless, nice DRZ!

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

You could finance though MTF then repay the loan once your DRZ sells

Looking at something with more grunt than the 400 but with the same reliability.

Bahaha! Nah some fuck knuckle in a 4x4 was halfway into my lane on a blind corner around Makara. I had to straighten up, got tunnel vision and went offroad for a good thirty meters. Managed to stay on somehow. That woke me up.

KTM690 Duke? I gather the Yamahas are heavy and have snatchy fuelling that can't be improved, nor can more power be easily extracted.

    Bullshit
Not sure where you get your information.
The injected 660 Yamaha's run a little lean when new, (bloody emissions rules)but can be adjusted by a Yamaha dealer that has the correct gear. Trevor Pierce Yamaha has the correct gear. Other Yamaha dealers should also.
There are plenty of go fast bits available from the Raptor 660 and 700 (cam, head, larger barrel) that bolt on. Or just power commander, mufflers, air box mod (stage 3 DNA air filter kit) let it breathe, last three saw my XT 660 go from a Yamaha claimed 47hp at the crank, to a dynoed 47hp at the wheel. Not big hp but great torque. Plenty more available.
Also a friend of mine turboed his XT 660X. Word is, it was a weapon over the hill to Akaroa.

The new generation Duke or the Duke 2? The newer ones are slightly out of my price range but I have been drooling over them. I believe the fuelling issue on the XT can be fixed somehow and the weight really doesn't bother me (I'm strong as heck). I'd love an XR650R in tard form, that'd be the dream. If I could find a nice KTM 640SM I'd probably grab it but wouldn't touch a 660SMC again. That left hand kick as much of a non-issue as it sounds was a pain in the ass.

Another option is to get the 434 kit for the DRZ hoping that'd give it the added power I'm after.
