There are still a few members around who have avatars that should be censored. I never cared, it was good scenery, until I started having a quick browse of KB while at work. I'm not exactly worried being caught viewing the images, but I do use different computers at work and I don't want someone discovering those images in their temporary internet files.

I won't name names in this public thread, but if someone wants to know, just PM me. I know who they are. I wouldn't blame them for not thinking about it, one in particular has had the same avatar for a long time and probably doesn't look at it any more.

Just use the report post feature to report non censored nudy avatars, sigs or images.

I'm not a pom actually, just so you know. It's on my profile that I'm here on my OE. Oh, and I'm not a whinger either, I like nudie images as much as any red blooded man... but there's no place for them on a workplace screen.

Actually, your old avatar was pretty cool, I thought. Still, the new one is cool as well, so I guess it all evens out in the end! You'd had the old one a while, so I guess you were ready for a change.

Don't be too hard on him - he's obviously sensitive. I fear the librarians association may rescind his membership if there are untoward images in his general vicinity....

Course there is. During lunchtime and for other short *ahem* breaks at work, I like to have a look through KB as I'm often eating lunch at my desk. It's considered acceptable at many workplaces I've been at (doing office admin temp work at the moment) to have a browse from time to time, as long as you're not visiting anything objectionable. And that's the catch. I like to be able to view KB at work without being caught out with nudity on my screen. Naked bikes, now that's another story!

You do realise you can turn off the display of avatars in your CP ? Useful for those on dial up also.

Member profile pics can now also be censored.

If you have a nudy profile pic, please re-upload it with the censor option checked.

With the amount of nudity and some porn being displayed in threads it may be time for a reminder for people to re-read this thread.

    Fair play

Good idea so long as it is easy to use as I am a newbie here and nearly got into trouble the other day!!

Although I did get a message about an avatar which was not rude it was a provocative pc/laptop mouse but I guess because of the size it was difficult for people to see that the rude pic was only a wee mouse!!

I have done the same for image attachments. Instead of the thumbnail, you will see a censor icon that will link to the image if you still wish to view it.

I do this because I feel people should be free to express themselves.

This does NOT mean that you can post porn. Nudity only and preferably motorbike related if you feel it is related to the subject of the thread.

When in doubt tick the box...

What is provocative to you, may seem rude to another... you never know... so rather tick it and be safe.
