just a footnote to this,i had a real hassle with braided brake lines as well, the shop admitted they were better than oem ones but wouldnt give me a warrant because of this bloody stupid numbers thing, same deal went to another garage and got one.

farking hassle eh?? Everybody knows they are better, but people have to obey the nearsighted law.
Mine came with lines, from said shop, so that shouldn't be a problem either. Come to think of it... I wonder what the hell would happen if I went somewhere else... better not![]()

sorry too many suzanne paul infomercials LOL
on a (slightly) more serious note ...
i think indicators ruin the look of alot of bikes gn indicators must die lol
So, the consensus is:
If you retrofit an integrated rear light/indicator unit, some WOF places will be OK with it, and some won't. Same with braided brake lines.
So if you fit either of these items, pick your WOF places carefully.
Would that be a fair summary?
That would be a fair summary. Some places follow the letter of the law, some places still use their knowledge in a discretionary fashion.
If your taillights are visible from 50 metres away, then they're fine. If you indicators are sufficiently spaces apart so that from a distance (50m is fair) that you can work out which way they're blinking, then they're fine also.
Ultimately, bikes are death traps, don't go to far out of your way to make them more so![]()
