Red face WANTED: learner bike.....or bigger

i am looking for something a little more interesting than my gn250 because my ninga is stuffed...maybe a 2 stroke would do...what could anyone recomend? i dont mind a little cosmetic or mech work cause i can probably get about $2k i really like the fzr's but they all seem exspensive nsr's are statistically good.....if i could majically get another gpz400r or 600 i wouldnt mind.....i will consider anything around $2k thats w.o.fed+regd

bro i have a suzuki rg 250 two stroke in mint condition (im more after the $2500 mark but neg). It is lighter than the other bikes you listed with the same hp (i think) its just had a full paint job and service, if you are intrested ive got pics. It is a very fun little bike to ride esp in the twisties!

    as for condition:
Brand new custom paint job, carbs have just been cleaned ,oil pump reset, compression tested (150psi in both pots) new plugs, gearbox oil. As well as this the usual service of cleaning air filter and pipes has been done all within the last 500kms. Fresh WOF (straight through) and 6 months reg.
Its done 49,000kms. As for photos just pm me your email address and all send you them through.

    Bros 1990

    I have a 1990 Bros - VTwin 650 CC. 29,000 Ks.
I bought as a learner for moving to a bigger bike from a dealer 3 months ago, but have since gotten a new Suzuki Savage as the Bros was too high for me ( I am 5ft, 1") and I dropped it a few times when I got caught on high ground. Even with supsension at lowest point.

Has a broken right indicator - still works but plastic smashed. Slight dint in tank, paint not broken. Attached picture not my bike but identical so you know what they look like.

Goes really well, motor good. Registered and WOF good for 3 months.
Pack Frame with sports / full / grabrail attachments and a scottoiler.
I was going to sort out the inidicator and put it on Trade Me when we get back from Phillip Island but I'd take $2,000 cash now. (Paid nearer $4000)

Actually it's maam (I am a woman :-)) Off to Phillip Island tomorrow for the MotoGP- back next Tues. Serviced by dealer when I got it 3 months ago, oil change etc. Before that who knows. Starts and runs well, seems fine mechanically. Torquey little V-Twin, just too tall for me to handle. No hurry, I was going to sort the indicator out and put it on Trade-me but that won't happen for 2 weeks or more. Good luck
