Haha, yeah.. They can be a bit shitty.. I've had less trouble with the electrics in my 18 year old Ducati haha!
Well, the rectifer is this little guy, bolts onto the bike, nice and easy to find (I can't remember exactly where they are mounted any more but they're really accessible)
There are heaps of tutorials as to how you can test them.. So long as you have a multimetre, you should be fine

As for the stator, it's a much more involved job to get to them (inside the engine) so if you're going to go to that trouble, you may as well just order a new one and replace it while you've got it open.
From my experience if one of these components is dead, the other is dead or dying too.

They get their parts directly from S&T motors so it's a lot cheaper than waiting for S&T to send to Hyosung, to put different stickers on them and flog them off for double the price (case in point, my replacement fuel tank was $400AUD from this site and S&T motors, compared to the $900AUD my local dealership said it would cost to get delivered!!)
