Flying up to Auckland tomorrow, is there a safe spot at the airport to park the bike for a couple of days?
Cheers
Could use car storage places for peace of mind, you drop the bike to them, they drop you at the airport, e.g. craddocks
'A mate of mine' parked his bike downstairs by the pick up/drop off area for a few days.
Expensive you say
But not if you ride through the pedestrian gap and off into the sunset...
Apparently.
I would never condone such a thing but 'my mate' can be a shocker
PS Take note of where the security cameras are and make sure your number plate isn't facing them

When abouts is your flight? If need be I can make room in our garage for a few days - the wife wants a vanity, chest of drawers and something else she harped on about brought into the house anyway so there'll be extra room. It might save on a taxi cost.
You only need two tools in life:
Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't.
WD-40 if it doesn't move and it should.
Brute force and ignorance always prevails.
Failure comes from too little brute force, or
too little ignorance.
Pay and park at Craddocks? That's where we are leaving our car tomorrow.

Hi,
I need to fly back to Auckland tomorrow for 24 hours, interrupting my trip south, has anyone parked at Chch airport recently and can provide an update?
cheers
I'd say NO. As within the last week thwere has been a post on KB about motorcycles being stolen from the secure parking at the airport.
Thanks for the feedback, i'll head there in the morning to the parking building.
I suppose I was hoping for "there's a designated place to park bikes and its free, they just don't tell you about it on their website" I'm laughably optimistic at times.
and yes it was Auckland airport that the 2 bikes got lifted from.
