The Eurosports guys were having an interesting chat about the logic of Bautista going to the factory Ducati next year... they're hoping the switch from the MotoGP V4 to the new WSBK V4 will be less problematic than in the past.

Great effort by Sykes though... sixth on that uncompetitive dog of a machine.

i used to watch sbk regularly was good their for a while but the best rider on the the best bike is killing it.No one can get near JR.Its like he is on a sbk and all the others are on superstocks. It makes no sense that only the Yamahas are within a sniff of the Kawasakis. The Ducati seems a dog this season.Chaz seems to be the fastest at times but cant keep the bike upright.I have stopped watching it

    You guys are tough.

That Argentinian track has possibilities, such a wide track, so little they can use.

Great effort by Sykesy in the second race. The cunning strategy of preserving his tyres early on allowed him to cut through the field to a noble fifth at the end. He even managed to keep his teammate in sight when Rea slowed down over the last few laps... a tiny green dot at the other end of the main straight but in sight nonetheless!

Anyone heard where he is heading next year ?
I did read somewhere that home life was in trouble as well ? May have something to do with his form .

One more round for WSBK. Will Rea clean up in Qatar too? I watched the BSB races and they were a lot better (for me anyway). I am pinning my hopes for 3019 on Bautista and the new Duc to keep Rea honest.

If not, I wonder at what point does Rea cry "enough" and find a greater challenge? In his shoes what would you or I do?

If I were him, I'd do what Rossi did after winning 3 championships on the trot on a Honda. Switch to the widely panned Yamaha and show that he can/could still win!

I'd be curious to see if he was still as dominant on a different marque..

If only Marquez would take heed and make the switch to KTM...

Marquez has not landed on his head enough to consider the KTM. He will want a bike he feels is capable of winning races and I don't see the KTM doing that for couple of years at least.

    |It'll be interesting to see what Zarco can do on the KTM.

    Absolutely.

They also have a new iteration of their bike now/imminent so maybe that will move them forward.

I still think the KTM will be compromised by using their own suspension. Ohlins have years of data and development to call on where WP have 4 bikes and only one rider with history with the KTM. (I exclude the test riders here. They will have to compete with the race lads in getting their own development paths to the to-do stage)
