C@@L, I can just imagine the joy of seeing a WOF or Rego that's just expired must bring....and ones that are not visible, or

that moment the owner arrives back to see their car being towed away.

It's back to the future for me. I started my career as a traffic cop on a bike with the Auckland City Traffic Department.

One thing that is different is a Honda PCX150, instead of a BMW R80RT-P.

I'll still get all the heat of being called a revenue collector, blah blah blah. Harrumph.

The thing is, and I admire you for having the cahunas to do this, you went out and gave it a go on your own. Many people talk about doing that but few actually do it.

    Good on 'ya.

What he said! Good on you for taking the punt and once you'd decided it wasn't for you, doing somehting about it.

Well now you definitely are there ain't no arguing it this time.
infact the WCC (WellyTown City Council) has numerous times stated that it has never been shown to "move people along" as other councils claim & the only reason we have it is so the WCC can make more of that cash moneys; tho they do try & carrot that stick by saying "it helps them to keep the rates slightly lower"

Don't forget these people are using parks they've paid for in their rates, paying for the metering in their rates, pay for upkeep in their rates, and pay for the enforcement in their rates just so they can pay more via a fine for not being on time.

In an ideal world there would be enough parks for everyone, all the time. But there aren't.

    It's basically rationing.

The way to endless free parking in Christchurch is simple. Get a ute, hang a hi-vis over the back of the seat, park behind any of the thousands of cones blocking legit parking spaces that builders have hijacked.
