Question RD 350 LC frame code help needed.

    Hi ya

I've got a customer trying to find manufacture year for his frame.

I can't find anything with our system. His frame is only 9 alfa/numeric long.

Is there any online charts available?

    Any help appreciated

    Cheers

    This maybe ...

    http://www.rd350lc.net/pageIDENTIFICATION.htm

    or

    http://www.rd350lc.net/RD_RZ_250_350%20VIN%20list.pdf

    or

    https://www.motorcyclespareparts.eu/...1970-1994.aspx

The bike in question probably has a 9-digit VIN# which the internet decoders don't recognize. You need the full VIN number.

This may help ... or not.

This lot may help (hope it does) ... but I tried ..

    Thanks Trev
Will give custy the links tomorrow at work.
He may just have the serial number.

Funny thing, an hour later I was chatting with another customer who mentioned racing a RD500LC (RZ500 here) in the day.
He has spare 250/350 parts to sell. Hooked them up.
Do I get an agents fee

Check the brake hoses, often the wheels. Date code of manufacture.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

Is a frame on it's own pretty much, Dave. Though I will let him know.

Ahh, that might make a restoration project somewhat problematic.

Without a donor bike - that's a fool's errand. All parts for Elsies have reached silly level. Building from parts would be several times the cost.
Trust me, I've done it from 2 incomplete wrecks which is almost as stoopid and that was on a 125.

I’ve discovered is there are parts out there it’s just trying to get people to part with them that’s the bloody hard and expensive part.

Gutted at the mo as someone I know just found a complete 250LC barn find locally only paid $500 for it, I made a offer which would have been a good quick profit for him but no not even tempted he is just going to hide it away with his other bikes.

Yep can be a sellers market. Is a shame you couldn't score it.
Was a fluke for me connecting 2 guys up with the same bike model.

I have a hoard of ancient trumpy parts.

Must be hard to tell the repros from the originals. Aside from the quality I guess.
Nasty Indian shite would stand out as superior.
Actually I did a search and low and behold a lot of LC parts are available from India?! Surely never on sale there.
My Triumph was proudly made in Thailand.
