    (not my pic)

Hey guys, recently got these boots, and seeing as it was the first proper rain i've ridden in today (a whopping 20 min commute) I thought i'd drop a quick review.

    Pros:
    Comfortable enough.

    Cons:
    Are not waterproof.
Water leaks in the stitching between sole and boot itself.

    1 out of 5 stars.

I bought a pair of Alpinestars Web Goretex boots which leaked within warranty, took them back - Motomail sent them away for testing and they replaced them.

No leaks in the new pair for I forget how many years since then. So it might be worth taking them back if you can.

Take them back. A boot with waterproof tendencies only has to do one thing. The only motorbike boots I have owned have been Alpinestars Web Goretex. Current pair is on second resole and to be honest are past it. Will get same next time.

Yep, take them back for replacement.

FWIW - Modern waterproof bike boots tend to only allow water in from the big hole in the top...which also means that if you get water in them from the top at the start of a big day out, it'll take a damn long time to dry the buggers out as well. Seems the water doesn't want to leak out either

I have the SMX-5's. They're great. Almost survived a typhoon in Japan without the leakage. Nowhere near as much rain here so they're perfect
