    Early model SV650

    Hi

Mate is looking for a LAMS bike and has stumbled on an early model SV650 on Trademe. It is the first shape (rouded "praying mantis" faiings) and is a UK? import with the speedo in Miles.

There are a couple of SV650 variants listed on theLAMS approved bikes list. Is this likely to be one of them?

No, won't be LAMS. Only the past few years are LAMS (some Gladius models are LAMS).

It matters if you want to be insured.

Does it really matter that the rider has no insurance or is riding a bike that their licence doesn't cover?

If it all turns to custard they can come on here and moan and whine and get lots of sympathy...

I didn't fuck up and my bike got totalled. I was nowhere near it at the time. Would have been very out of pocket if I hadn't been insured.

But, each to his own, and all that.

Yeah but THEY fucked off. Go figure, I can't pin it on them, not being anywhere in the vicinity at the time.

But matters not. Buy whichever bike you want to.
