Looking for Advise on Topbox for Indian Scout Bobber 1200CC 2018

    Hi Guys,

    LFA

Need some advise of top box for a bike I am planning to buy that don't have their own rack mount.

I am either getting a Triumph Speed Triple RS or Indian Scout Bobber. Only problem with those picks is that I need a top box so that I am able to commute to work with my laptop and other stuff I usually take to work which in some days is quite a bit.

I was told by Indian CycleSpot that a customer was able to get a top box for his Indian Scout bobber but they weren't to sure who made the rack mount. Wonder if anyone knew who or how I can get a rack mount for those bikes.

Thanks for the # I tried to give them a call unfortunately they aren't able to provide a topbox or a saddle for the bobber. Next option is a Engineer to custom make a rack. Wondering does anyone know someone? or can recommend someone in auckland.

Although a motorcycle technician rather than an engineer, John from Motorcycle Works in Greenmount Drive, East Tamaki is quite handy with a welder and if you're located in East Auckland he might be worth dropping into for a chat?

Hi Thanks for the advised, I gave him a call. He advised that he needs to see the bike to determine whether he can do it or not. But I am not going to buy the bike unless I have a way of getting a rack installed

Might end up not buying my dream bike and buying a bike that does what I need

What you need, my son, is more than one motorbike. some shitbox for commuting, and something else for the weekends.

Yeah, I was thinking of keeping my cb300f as commuting and my bobber as a weekend bike, But with my earning, I can't afford 2xbike registration, insurance and everything else.

My second option is the Triumph Street Triple R. I like the bike.... but not LOVE the bike.

Don't buy it then would be my best advice. And I've told dozens of customers that over the years. It's too much money to have tied up in a bike that is only *ok* in your eyes.

If you're looking for ADVICE I can ADVISE you to check out Ventura industries website, (Google). They might have something for you. They are manufacturers so you would have to buy through a dealer.

That's the one. Couldn't remember the name. I was lucky to even remember the Ventura name.

When I bought my first bike here, I wanted a rack to fit my R-Jays pack. I went to an engineer who specialises in building sidecars for adding to m/bikes to make what they call here, Tricycles. Built from Stainless Steel it cost me the grand sum of P2,400, $NZ63!
