    the trick with the Golden Corral is you ge there at 07oo when they open ( bring a book..) have your breakfast.. few cups of coffee etc.. keep going back about once every half hour after you get your fill to get nibbles to keep the meter running.. they switch out lunch at 10 am.. have your lunch and nibble till 4 when they bring out the SHRIMP AND FRIED CHICKEN AND ROAST BEEF AND AU GRATIN POTATOES AND ... Damn..

    all for the original entry fee of $6.95

    every GC in the midwest had a wanted poster with my pic on it...

    meh, I know a guy who was clinically obese, weight-wise, at 9% bodyfat.

    the doctors charts mean nothing.

    BMI is the new standard. Body Mass Index (http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/calc-bmi.htm)

    BMI = Weight in Kilograms
    (Height in Meters) x (Height in Meters)

    or

    BMI = ( Weight in Kilograms )
    ( (Height in centimeters) x (Height in centimeters) ) x 10,000

    For example, a person who weighs 99.79 Kilograms and is 1.905 Meters (190.50 centimeters) tall has a BMI of 27.5.

    99.79 Kg
    (1.905 m) x (1.905 m) = 27.5

    BMI's are great if you want to argue statistics with a white coat wearing boffin.

    Grab a pile of flesh from your gut in your hand and see how much you can grab. Do as many sit ups as you can in a minute. Rest for 1 minute. Do as many push ups as you can in one minute. Rest for one minute. Go for a slow jog from ideally your house - for 5 minutes - stop if you have to if you can't complete a 5 min jog. Note where you've reached and note the amount of sit-ups and push-ups.

    If you're really keen take your shirt off and take a pic of your upper body for reference purposes. This is also a huge motivator 6 months down the line when you see how much progress(or lack of) you've made.

    Do whatever diet/exercise/voodoo magic you want for a month and repeat the above. If the numbers increase and the amount of flesh in your hand is less, you've made progress.

    By the way this is the advice from a NZ$200/hr personal trainer, not some poppycock I made up.

    Oh yeah - since you're a smoker and older than 15 a blood test to check out your cholestrol and white blood cell, iron, etc, etc won't hurt.

    Mate you can reach up to 80% of your fitness level from your recon days in a year if you want it.

    I know that and you know that.

    It just depends how bad you want it.

    Good Luck and Good Night

    See ya round,:spudwave:
