We didn't find out the sex of our 2 boys, the first we decided we wanted the surprise and the second, well let's just say he was too modest.

I wasnt sure this 1 would let us see and believe me she tried hard not to. lol

Had the radiologist been slower we wouldn't know that she is a she.

It's an improvement on Biffela but I think we'll stick with "Inverness".

Huh, Try four children. Doesn't work AT ALL. That's why we got an Odyssey.

    Congrats you two.

StrayJuliet - You are going to carry at the WORST possible time.

Gini had Nicholas Feb 22 last year and she really suffered that last month.

I hope you have a bath at your place 'cause you're going to want to get in it to cool down in summer.

Best of luck for the next twenty weeks. Thanks for the best bit of news today.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

When I have my 6 year old stay for holidays and weekends um I don't think we will be going out much lol either that or someones staying home.

I know I'm gonna be soooooooo damn hot in the last couple of months it's all Wolf's fault.

I'm glad we gave you some good news. I'll be sure to take care Wolf is always telling me to "take it easy" and put my feet up "don't do too much."

Damn I'm slow...lost the use of work computer temporarily...sorry for resurrecting a coldish thread...

Firstly - let me offer my congratulations to Wolf and Strayjuliet on being blessed (I use the term in the non-religious way) with another child on the way! Mrs P and I have to make do with a fur baby until we have all the necessary degrees, a bit of paper that says we're married, and a house deposit...oh well, our time will come...

Fish - your post is deserving of a reply - some of your posts imply a degree of knowledge of biological sciences, but you clearly don't have a background in immunology, or you would not made some of the comments you did (Or maybe you would’ve done anyway…)

Pregnancy is quite far from a 'normal' bodily function. It is more a subversion of normal bodily functions to carry out a biological necessity over and above normal bodily function.

The body is balanced on an immunological knife-edge - being forced to nourish and maintain a non-self organism within itself. Normal immune processes are subverted to avoid the rejection and killing of tissue displaying non-self antigen.

Being such an immunologically fraught process (among other things) goes some way to explaining the difficulties experienced by some in pregnancy.

That, the great importance of family, and the (sometimes) joy derived from raising the next generation would be why congratulations are traditional IMHO.
