    Good jacket around $200?

    Hi Guys

Can someone recommend a good motorcycle jacket cost around $200? prefer something that is waterproof, and has removable warm liner.

    Thanks

All Season Explorer from 1tonne. Reasonably waterproof (better than anything else Ive had in the sub $500 price range). Mine lasted me a couple of years before the waterproof membrane was completely rooted. Replaced it with a Dual Storm Jacket / Pants - little snugger fitting in the jacket (a crapload snugger in the pants!) but seems to be waterproof at this stage - been thru a few big downpours and havent leaked.

Both have removable liners and waterproof membranes. The dual storm has a second inbuilt membrane and the most annoying neck scarf thing in the world (its damned hard to zip up / unzip to put the jacket on and off) - luckily its removable.

Similar question was asked a wee while ago. A poster had 3 wet days in 1 tonne gear and stayed dry, happy camper. I bought my G/F a 1 tonne jacket for her birthday, it's a good bit of kit, excellent value for money. Great back up service from them, too.

    I'm +1 on 1 tonne.

my 1tonne 100% waterproof touring pants had me soaked through to the bone in the gentle downpour on the way home from the brass a few year ago, mind you, my 100% neo touring jacket also had me soaked through to the bone, back to my leathers treated with sno seal with over trou when the downpour gets a bit heavier. Must say though, the textile gear a slightly warmer but the leathers are sooooo much cooler

Yep, if your budget is around the $200 mark, then try 1tonne like previous posters have already suggested. It's basic stuff, but value for money.

Motomail seems to be having their annual winter sale this weekend (according to the radio this morning).

Get thy arse there and get a bargain!
