Harley Davidson step into the 20th century with new range of bikes.

LOL at the comments, but fair go, it will be interesting to see how it pans out!

A heap of my mates were sharing these on FaceBrick earlier today, taking the piss.

I'll admit, I've never wanted to own a Harley and I have no real drive or desire to buy one of these new models, but it is nice to see them finally have the balls to try something new.

There's a huge chance that it is brand-suicide, given all the try-hard Harley types (those who only buy things with straight through pipes, painted black and orange and literally shaking themselves to pieces as their drain their fuel tanks to very slowly move 10km down the road) will no-doubt shun the new directions, but apparently they were already going down the gurgler anyway?

Seems ironic given their decision to ditch Buell, with 4or5 models similar to what they are proposing. Also, the electric bike thing is just a buyover AFAIK?

I really like the mt01 impersonator.

I might just be dangerously close to owning a Harley if they ever get to being competitive on price or reliability.

I have only ever looked at Harleys in a nice for someone else to own way.
So maybe they are succeeding at tapping a new market?

Harley ADV bikes ...copying others since ages ago.

I like the prequel Guzzi version of the Indian better.

DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

I was just wondering whether I misunderstood the 20th century headline...the bikes in the story are dodgy at best

Be interesting watching this as on the past when they have tried new things the 'Mericas no like.

I quite like the look of the white muscle custom. This strikes me as a good replacement for the ancient V-Rod if the engine has some poke.

Pretty sure Yamaha could sue them for the black MT01 copy .....

Is it odd that Harley are now copying Japanese and Euro styling?

What like the Japanese cruisers aren't imitations of Harley Davidson models?

My point exactly - oh the irony in HD 'updating' with Japanese styling
