AFAIK its supposed to be in between low and high. again, a service manual is great.. download one you will find it very handy to do all basic maintenance. i use one when i do any non routine maintenance and find it invaluable.

    Kawi Manual https://ownersmanuals2.com/d/52629

The lines are min and max so *just* above max when the bike hasn't run yet is fine. When the engine is upright and running the oil will go down a little anyway. Take it for a decent ride and then check the oil level right afterwards and you'll see.

As soon as you hit the start button on any motorcycle ... the amount of oil at the bottom end drops considerably as it circulates. Oil helps wit cooling too. Hot running bikes need all the help they can get ... especially at the higher end of their performance range.

The less oil circulating ... the faster it wears out. Ducati's were never well known for their longevity anyway ...

I have a small piece of flat wood that I put under the side-stand ... that gives the bike a slight lean so it safe('ish) to look at the sight glass. Filling to the max level on the sight-glass will give a level just below max which is ok.

A full mark is a full mark. if it's not full ... you need to add some.

You're wrong ... it does have a dipstick. The owner ...
