What is the make/model/year of this burglars car?

    Hey guys,

I'm posting this here coz I don't post online much (at all?) and all the reddits etc require rep before I can ask the community a question.
So - apologies for asking a question about a vehicle with too many wheels! (yes I am a biker, goin on 20 odd years

Had a burglar in our street, and trying to identify his vehicle - yes it's very odd looking for a motorcycle .
My guess was a swift, but the back quarter window doesnt look like a swift one, and I don't think Swifts have the plastic scratch guard rail along the center of the doors - so not sure.

    Any takers?

Looks a lot like a Toyota Auris. Same headlight position, tailight has the same shape (albeit not illuminated but you can see the triangular shape on the side), same C pillar design and wheels.

The Blade is the luxury version of the Auris so essentially the same car.

Toyota Corolla (or Japanese import name Allex or Auris) from around 2005-2011. very common.

    Great work thanks guys!

Thanks everyone - I think Neels has it with the Blade.
Same quarter window, same door-ding protection bar, same lights front and back and general body shape.

Super helpful guys, I'm glad I posted. Thank you all!

Yep, all the same shapeless blob that toyota seemed to favour at the time, just a few tweaks of the shape of lights and trim the only differences

    Possibly Nissan tilda also .

Start taking some evening walks around neighbourhood. Thieves are lazy and will often live nearby. Twice I’ve tracked down dirtbags within couple kms max of our street. One had very distinctive car with mismatch bumper that was so easy to spot and parked roadside outside their flat.

The shape may not be particularly distinctive , but that colour on a small car is not so common.

The spokey looking alloys in the original photo shouldn't be overlooked. Matches the Auris more than the Blade, and different wheels is one way they distinguish the blobs.
