    Hey Spyda.

I finally have my bike road legal, with new tyres for the first time in bloody years. Am riding to the Kiwi this year, and I officially just got excited!

Can't wait to see the new site, and help to get the buzz of the rally back to what it used to be.

I haven't ridden in quite some time. Be honest, am I likely to stay upright getting into this site? Gone well backwards with my riding but gotta start somewhere again right?

the road in is new but even when it was a couple of weeks old it was as good as or better than the last couple of sites, and it's still getting worked on and regular traffic on it when building the site. i've only been there once but will be along this weekend and if i see a problem i'll let you know, they are only having one day working bees this year so it's a big ask with nearly eight hours return from wellington for me to go, shame, as the working bees are a lot of fun.
i'm also sure the ride up there will put your mind back into the zone again, it'll be just like riding a bike....

On the Cold Kiwi Facebook page there is a video showing the site and access etc

It looks ok, plenty of people around to ask for a push / shove in the right drection tho, i'm sure!

    Awesome, cheers gents.

Always happy to provide entertainment for everyone as always if I do tip over mucking up the ride in. After the laughter it's always great to see lots of hands jumping in to help out all useless riders like me.

    Bring on the kiwi!

Well this site looks fantastic, I especially like the weather
High miles, engine knock, rusty chrome, worn pegs...
    Brakes as new

track in is much betterer than last two places, brand new and will be good in any weather, although we're looking at fine for the event, spent the day there yesterday, back to a large open expanse for events, bring back the wheelie contest....

'twas a good rally. Lived up to the name with a nice frosty night on the Friday and a lovely fresh wind that started up Saturday morning. Rain forecast Sunday morning so I packed up and fucked off super early on Sunday - managed to get everything packed dry.

Short little video for you guys:
