Easy rides for first time pillions in Auckland

    Hi all.

Girlfriend wants to go on the back this summer. So I am after suggestions on a nice short ride to take her on. Less than hour ideally.

I was thinking of tamaki drive on a week day evening or out towards huia cafe.

    Cheers.

Where would you be starting from? Makes a difference if you're trying to do a short ride.

Cheers. Huia sounds the best then. Don't want helmet knocking together.

    Thanks for the advice

I'd probably avoid the roads in the Waitaks for a first pillion ride, especially on a 250.

A loop out to Maraetai might be good, plus you can stop at one of the beaches for a break.

True. They can be pretty shitty at the best of times.

    That's a good idea!

There's that too. Nice cafes too.

She wants to go to a book store in Thames so that's the likely looking option.

Will keep in mind your dad's advice ha
